Project overview.
The architectural design presented for Italian Restaurant · Accra is by architect Serdar Akbulut.
Accra Italian Restaurant... Designed for Accra, Ghana’s capital, the project brings the classical spatial language of Roman architecture together with authentic Italian cuisine. Conceived independently of local architectural references, its identity is defined by arched openings, rhythmic façades, stone surfaces, balustraded terraces and tiled roofs. A central courtyard, articulated by sculpture and water, gathers the dining spaces around a shared focal point. The ground floor accommodates the main dining rooms and outdoor seating areas, creating a lively social setting. The first floor offers independent private dining spaces for guests seeking a more intimate experience. A dedicated bar on each level supports these distinct approaches to hospitality within a coherent architectural composition. Warm lighting and carefully considered material details translate classical Roman references into a contemporary fine-dining experience.
Restaurant architecture and interiors
The Accra Italian Restaurant draws on Roman references through arches, stone surfaces and terraces. General dining around a courtyard and private dining above establish distinct guest experiences. A bar on each level supports these uses within an architectural composition developed together with the interiors.
