ABOUT THE PROJECT

Project overview.

The architectural design presented for Zai · House of Brothers is by architect Serdar Akbulut.

House of Brothers Bar and Tasting Space | Zai Bodrum Designed for Brothers within Zai Bodrum, this bar and tasting space explores the relationship between the defined geometry of a steel structure and the lush landscape surrounding it. Dark steel elements, generous glazing and the vertical rhythm of the façade establish a restrained yet distinctive architectural character. The cantilevered upper volume shelters the outdoor seating, creating a protected threshold that strengthens the continuity between the interior and the garden. The tree canopy, layered planting and seating arranged across different levels create a relaxed, intimate setting for tasting. Gravel surfaces and surrounding greenery soften the sharp lines of the steel structure. As daylight fades, reflections of the setting sun give way to warm lighting that brings the bar and landscape into focus. Bringing architecture, nature and art into a shared setting, Brothers becomes a gathering place where conversation and tasting are integral to the experience of the space.

DESIGN FOCUS

Bar and tasting space architecture

Within Zai Bodrum, House of Brothers sets the geometry of a steel structure against lush planting. Generous glazing and the sheltered threshold beneath the upper volume connect interior and garden. Seating at different levels and warm lighting support its character as a place for tasting and conversation.
